Our computers store a lot of unwanted files and caches. There are various temporary files which we can delete and free up space.
To delete them:
1. Click the Windows logo and search “Run”, or simply use Start+R to open up the Run window.
2. Search for “temp”(without the quotations) and click OK.
3. Now delete everything you see there. There may be some prompts saying that “File cannot be deleted”. Don’t worry, just skip them.
4. Do the same exact process for the keywords : “%temp%”, “recent” and “prefetch”.
Check your Task Manager
When you are using a heavy CPU consuming app, it can slow down the CPU. Open the task Manager by right clicking on the taskbar and then selecting ” Start Task Manager”. Then open the Processes tab and look for the apps who consume a lot of the CPU. Select them and click End Process. They will be terminated, giving back the PC’s speed.
